How will I receive the contributions to the Gift Registry if I am paying the enrollment fee and first year’s storage in full by credit card?

If you choose to pay by credit card, you will not be charged until your family’s cord blood is stored. Contributions to the Gift Registry will be deducted from the balance due and the remaining amount will be charged to your credit card.

How will I receive the contributions to the Gift Registry if I already paid the enrollment fee and first year’s storage in full by check?

If you choose to pay your enrollment fee in full by check, the contributions to the Gift Registry will be sent to you by check approximately 30 days after receipt.

How will I receive the contributions to the Gift Registry if I am paying by a CareCredit® payment plan?

Contributions made the Gift Registry prior to the cord blood being stored will be deducted, the balance will be used as the initial principal for the payment plan, and monthly payments will be calculated based upon this initial principal. Clients with an initial principal greater than $2,500 are eligible for any of the plans, including the 60 month payment plan. Clients with an initial principal between $1,000 and $2,500 are eligible for all plans except the 60 month plan. Clients with an initial principal less than $1,000 are eligible for the 6 and 12 Month No Interest Plans Only. Clients with an initial principal less than $300 are eligible for the 6 Month No Interest Plan only. Contributions made to the Gift Registry after the cord blood has been stored will be applied to and reduce the principal but will not affect the monthly payments. The balance will, however, be paid off more quickly.

What happens if I receive contributions that exceed the amount of fees for enrollment and the first year’s storage?

If you choose the option of 18 years of prepaid storage, contributions to the Gift Registry will be applied. If you chose the annual billing of storage fees, you can choose to apply the contributions to a future year’s annual storage fees. Otherwise, any excess contributions will be applied as a refund to your credit card approximately 30 days after receipt. If you paid by check, excess contributions will be sent by check approximately 30 days after receipt.

What happens if I enroll with CORD:USE, receive contributions but something happens that prevents the collection or storage of the cord blood?

The balance in your Gift Registry will be applied as a refund to your credit card approximately 30 days after cancellation. If original payment was by check, the balance will be sent by check approximately 30 days after cancellation.
